应兰州大学数学与统计学院王宾国教授和张亮博士的邀请，加拿大纽芬兰纪念大学（Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada）袁沅教授将于2018年6月19日至6月25日访问兰州大学,期间将举办专题学术报告。
报告题目：A stage-structured model for fish stock with harvesting
报告摘要：In this talk, we propose a mathematical model for a single species fish
stock with three stages structure: juveniles, small adults and large adults with two harvesting strategies for mature classes, maturity and size selectivities. The purpose of the work is to investigate the dynamical behavior of the model and discuss the effect of harvesting.We identify the adult reproduction number $R_A$ for the model; obtain the local and global stability of the trivial equilibrium when $R_A<1$; discuss the population persistence and existence of a unique positive equilibrium when $R_A>1$. Numerical simulations are provided to investigate the influence of harvesting functions, discuss the optimal harvesting rates and explore the effect of periodic coefficients on the dynamical system.

袁沅教授简介：
袁沅，纽芬兰纪念大学数学与统计系终身教授，山西大学“百人计划”。2002年毕业于University of Western Ontario并获得博士学位，之后在University of Waterloo做博士后。袁教授主要研究领域为数学生物学、数学生态学、非线性动力系统、时滞微分方程等；已在J. Differential Equations, SIAM J. Appl. Math., SIAM J. Appl. Dyn. Syst., J. Math. BIol.等国际著名学术期刊上发表高水平学术论文50余篇，并兼任多个国际期刊编委、特邀编辑等。
